Ductile Iron factory has founded since 2021
1. Brief Introduction:
Ductile cast iron is a high-strength cast iron material developed in the 1950s. Its comprehensive performance is close to that of steel. Based on its excellent performance, it has been successfully used to cast some complex forces and with highly demanding on strength, toughness, and wear resistance. Ductile cast iron has rapidly developed into a cast iron material second only to gray cast iron and widely used. The so-called “substituting iron for steel” mainly refers to ductile iron. Ductile cast iron obtains the ductile graphite by spheroidization and inoculation treatment which effectively improves the mechanical properties of cast iron, especially the plasticity and toughness, thereby obtaining higher strength than carbon steel.
2. Performance:
Ductile iron castings have almost been used in all major industrial sectors, which require high strength, plasticity, toughness, wear resistance, severe thermal and mechanical shock resistance, high or low temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability. In order to meet these changes in conditions of use, ductile iron has many grades, providing a wide range of mechanical and physical properties.
3.Material: QT450-10
4.Application:
The ductile cast iron spare parts for undercarriage parts, like the end cover for carrier roller, the collar for the track roller, the bracket for the idler
5. Production capacity: 500-550T/Month, Automated production line.
6. Adwantages:
1) Compared with cast iron, ductile cast iron has an absolute advantage in strength. The tensile strength of ductile cast iron is 60k, while the tensile strength of cast iron is only 31k. The yield strength of ductile cast iron is 40k, while the cast iron does not show the yield strength and eventually fractures. The strength-to-cost ratio of ductile iron is far superior to that of cast iron. The strength of ductile iron is comparable to that of cast steel.
2) Compared with cast steel, Ductile cast iron has a higher yield strength, than cast steel. The low cost of spherical graphite cast iron makes this material more popular, the casting efficiency is higher, and the machining cost of spherical graphite cast iron is reduced.
3) Therefore, after the pressure-loading parts of ductile cast iron have been processed by the fertilizing annealing cycle, the spherical structure inside the ductile cast iron can also eliminate the cracking phenomenon that the flake graphite inside the cast iron is easy to produce. In the microphotograph of the ductile iron, the cracks can be seen to terminate after reaching the graphite ball. In the ductile iron industry, these graphite balls are called “crack stoppers” because of their ability to prevent fracture.
